The All For Paws Chill Out Aqua Cooling Mat was designed for reuse (not like the disposable chemical filled mats). 

Its three-layer system pairs a water-filled cushion with a Chillout ice cube sheet equivalent to nearly eight trays of ice, locked in place by a half-inch insulation foam insert that keeps the cold from dissipating quickly. Foldable for the car and machine washable after outdoor use, it comes in two sizes to suit any breed.

• Triple-layer design for lasting, effective cooling: Three layers work together rather than one: a water-filled cushion provides the base cooling contact, an ice cube sheet delivers the equivalent of nearly eight trays of ice, and a half-inch insulation foam insert holds the temperature down by slowing heat transfer from below.

• Water-based cooling : The Aqua mat works by the ice sheet and water sheet releasing cool temperatures on contact. The system recharges simply by refreezing the ice sheet, no chemical compounds involved.

• Insulation foam extends the cooling effect: The half-inch foam insert acts as a thermal barrier between the cooling layers and the surface below, slowing the rate at which ambient heat replaces the cold and keeping the mat effective significantly longer than a single-layer alternative.
